Accordion Houses
Create a small, accordion house book from a single sheet of watercolour paper, then explore layer after layer of mixed media techniques: dyes, inks, collage, texture paste, image transfers, stitching, found objects and more.
Welcome
I hope this class will be a playful exploration for you, as it is for me.
These tiny houses are small and quick to fill, yet they are beautiful objects to keep, give, or return to later.
What We’ll Make
We’ll create a single house-shaped artist book, or an entire village. Each page is a space to experiment with texture, inks, light, and possibility. We’ll work with dyes, gentle mark-making, layered collage, and found objects, letting happy accidents guide the way.
No rules. No pressure.
Just freedom, curiosity, and play.

Why This Class Matters
These houses invite you to slow down, embrace imperfections, and rediscover play.
They’re small enough to finish in just a few days, yet rich enough to become personal archives of ideas, texture and memory, a keepsake or even a practice ground for larger works.

I am a mixed media artist based in Scotland.
My work explores memory, time, and the stories hidden within forgotten objects.
In my classes, I invite you to create from intuition, curiosity, and joy. I don't tell you what to do, I try to show you how to look.
The rest is yours.
