The Seasonal Shelf

In Autumn 2024, when the world felt heavy, I started creating pieces that brought happy thoughts back into my days. I always cringe at Christmas ads in October, but this felt different, it was self-care, an act of hope and presence.
I never got around to listing these pieces then, so here we are a year later. They were my own holiday decor last year, perhaps this year they can be yours.

Each piece carries a little of that wish to bring back the innocence and wonder of childhood holidays. If I could bottle that feeling and pour it into a cup for you to drink, I would. This is as close as I can get.

I found a big box of old decorations at my local antique shop. It looked as if it had come from one single home, filled with treasures from different generations of Christmas. Like a child sorting through a box of memories, I tried to imagine what could be reborn in small pieces of art. I hope you can feel that sense of new life and nostalgia in each creation.
