These are little Accordion Houses I made during the filming of my class Accordion Houses, or in preparation for it. I’ve made many of these small houses over time and I decided to let a couple of them go.
I recently ordered a number of tin nichos, handmade in Mexico. Some of them arrived in an unexpected shape, so I gathered the houses and started playing puzzle.
Two fit perfectly. Snug.
One of those deeply satisfying moments.
A house inside a heart.
Right on every level.
This piece can be hung on the wall, becoming a small shrine that holds an artist book.
